Welcome newbies! Hope you had a great time with Coach Cam last night - you wore him out!
Our first goal is to build your skill at running; we'll build your capacity concurrently (but not through high mileage!)
Complete these workouts on any day (except the Midnight 5k!) and post your scores by hitting 'Respond' below!
1. - Midnight 5k - already gave that one away! Show up at 11:30 Saturday night at the Park! Bring $10 to donate to our Green Army Relay for Life Team, and (if possible) a Paleo dessert to share, potluck-style!
2. - Get yourself: two or three balls for therapy and a skipping rope
Video tape yourself running and have a good look at what your feet are up to
Run 400m as fast as you can (time it and submit your time to comments, we will re-test this down the road)
3. - 5 Pushups
10 Situps
15 squats
As many rounds as possible in 15 min
Post rounds to comments.
4. The link below is to a site called Mobility WOD, it's run FREE by Kelly Starrett, a chiro from san franciso who posts a daily FREE stretching tutorial. The one I link to is a great lead off point for runners new and old. We will start incorporating some of these into our training each week. We'll even dedicate a whole day or two each week to them. We'll call it a "rest day."
Your mission : Watch TV and take a few minutes to visit your "pain cave" Enjoy.

Ok, i guess I'll start out the posting since no one else has.
5K - 31:15
15 min AMRAP - 16 rounds +5 pushups and 6 sit ups
no time for 400 min yet...legs were pooped after my workout today (I've had a few weeks off...whoops!)
Side note, I don't think any of the newbies in the group know about this website...i didn't until yesterday. Cam didn't mention it on Thursday.
