Professional MMA fighter Mitch Fryia brings his message - and video messages from other pros - into your school for a fun, informative and exciting seminar for students.
What will participants take from the program?
-
Awareness:
Understand bullying can physical, verbal or mental. Learn strategies to deal with these situations.
- Fun Education:
Our learning experience is interactive and fun for participants.
- Respect:
Learn to respect yourself, and those around you.
- Confidence:
Bullies are less likely to target individuals who display self-confidence. Develop the confidence and self-esteem to stand up to bullies in a mature, non-violent way.
-
Self Defense:
Non-physical self-defense techniques are first priority. Physical self-defense is taught to build confidence and self-esteem, but used only as a last resort.
What is Jiu Jitsu?
Jiu Jitsu is considered one of the gentle martial arts because it allows you to use leverage and technique to defeat an opponent without harming them. Rooted in self-defense, Jiu Jitsu has grown immensely as a sport being practiced by youth across the country. Jiu Jitsu practitioners experience a variety of mental and physical benefits as a result of their training.
Aside from being a fun and healthy way to exercise, it’s a great way for children and teens to be part of a positive environment that fosters healthy living, personal growth and constant improvement. Jiu Jitsu is a huge part of our anti-bullying strategy. More important than learning self-defense, our program develops the confidence and self esteem that helps our students avoid bully traps and physical altercations altogether.
