THE SPORT OF FITNESS HAS ARRIVED.
CrossFit is the world's fastest-growing sport. Teen competition withing CrossFit is exploding. Focusing on technique, power, speed and grit, Catalyst is the local arena for CrossFit competitions, and we're adding an intramural league for the Spring semester.
Why is CrossFit so popular?
- Anyone can compete, at their own level;
-
The program develops functional strength that is transferable to all other sports;
-
It includes calisthenics, Olympic weightlifting, circuit training, track and gymnastics – Can it get any better?
-
It's always different – CrossFit combines a series of skills and exercises that test strength, endurance, stamina and perseverance.
Catalyst is making space for two teams per local high school to compete in league play.
Participants will be invited to compete in one workout per month at Catalyst. Workouts will be scored, and points tracked over the semester.
All team members must attend the same high school. Junior and Senior divisions are available.
Each team must have four members consisting of the following:
-
Two male members;
-
Two female members;
-
One captain (one of the male or female team members)
