Your job: build raving fans. Tell their stories to others. Brag them up in public, and they'll brag you up in private.
As your family expands, you'll be able to identify the 10% who are full-on evangelists. To these folks, you assign jobs. You keep them busy, because if they're bored, they're finding other stuff to talk about.
One of the greatest gym tours you'll ever watch is by Zach Evan-Esh. On his front desk, he casually shows his photo album; visitors to the gym, if kept waiting, have a place to sit and browse his pictures. If you're like us, you have thousands, taken by participants. We usually have a 'best picture' contest after each event, and I'm usually tagging people for hours the next day to build up the support web between people.
Luckily for me, I have some members who built their OWN project. They chipped in and purchased a smart little frame by Kodak (it's called the Pulse.) It's on the front desk. Visitors to the box can see dozens of pictures (it's pretty common to have a group gathered 'round, post-WOD.) And the real beauty? No work on my part!
The frame is linked to our Affiliate's facebook profile. Any member with a picture they'd like to share can just tag me on facebook, and boom! It's up in the frame on the front desk in less than 15 minutes. It's automatically linked. If I don't like a picture, I remove the tag and it's gone.
You have a lot on your plate. If you can automate any part of your workload, so much the better. Why not let the yearbook committee take over?
